IPEM Membership Fees - 2021

Associate membership is FREE for full time post-graduate students and apprentices

Affiliate membership is FREE for full time undergraduate students and those not in employment

Lapsed members wishing to re-instate after the renewal deadline will be charged a fee, which is £21.00 in 2021, to be paid together with any outstanding subscription fee.

IPEM's criteria for the retired rate is as follows:

• IPEM member must have paid for at least 5 consecutive years at the full rate prior to the request.
• be over 60 years of age.
• have retired from full-time employment and not be working in paid employment for more than an average of 16 hours per week.            

IPEM will  consider cases of early retirement on medical grounds on a case by case basis. Please email membership@ipem.ac.uk with any queries.

Existing members over the age of 75 are entitled to FREE membership.

IPEM members who are also members of the Institute of Physics (IoP) are entitled to 25% discount on the fees paid to each professional body.  If this applies to you please make sure we have your name and IoP membership number.
