Environmental Sustainability Group

Climate change and humanity’s impact on the environment is fast becoming an existential crisis for humanity. Climate change will negatively impact healthcare on a huge scale. As scientists and engineers working in healthcare we are uniquely placed to be at the forefront of work to reverse our climate impact. The IPEM Environmental Sustainability group has been set up to reduce the environmental impact of IPEM, its members and their employers.

Key aims:

  1. Promote environmental sustainability to and within medical physics and engineering
  2. Engage and support members on environmental sustainability
  3. Advise IPEM Trustees on environmental sustainability
  4. Engage with others, including manufacturers and funding bodies, nationally and internationally on environmental sustainability

If you would like to get involved please email candi@ipem.ac.uk or you can join the Environmental Sustainabilty community of interes
