IPEM sponsors Advancing Healthcare Awards 2022

IPEM is sponsoring a category in the Advancing Healthcare Awards 2022.

The Award for Innovation in Healthcare Science is about recognising and rewarding the vital contribution of science to healthcare delivery.

The judges will be looking for scientific initiatives for delivering care that have improved the integration of services, speeded up diagnosis and treatment or given patients greater control of their own care.

The criteria for the award is:

  • Evidence of the impact of science on healthcare delivery
  • Innovation that has benefits or potential benefits to patient care
  • Evidence of leadership and sustainability
  • Awareness of transferability and the bigger picture.

Last year, the team behind the UK’s Global Clinical Engineering Day entry were the AHA Overall Winner for Healthcare Science 2021 for the video they produced. They also won the Academy for Healthcare Science Award for Inspiring the Healthcare Science Workforce of the Future.

Dr Robert Farley, IPEM’s President, said: ‘The AHA awards celebrate the best of healthcare science and I’m delighted we are sponsoring such an important award.

‘The Global Clinical Engineering Day team were worthy winners at the 2021 awards so I would urge members to consider entering the IPEM-sponsored Innovation in Healthcare Science award.’

The closing date for entries is 11 January and for more information on how to enter, visit Advancing Healthcare Awards 2022.
