Every year in January and February hospitals which are involved in the STP training (England) and Clinical Scientist Training in Scotland hold open days for potential trainees. They are free to attend but you need to book a place in advance. Attending one of these events will give you a chance to meet some other trainees and have a look around a medical physics or engineering department (depends on the hospital)- so well worth doing if you are considering applying for the training programme.
