Scientific Journals and Publications

A key pillar of our work is the range of publications managed by the Communications Committee and the Journals Committee.

  • We own four international, peer-reviewed journals that enable readers to access the very latest research. IPEM supports a sustainable approach to open access publication and our journals accept articles to be published free for anyone to read.
  • Our Special Interest Groups regularly produce new or updated scientific reports on specialist subjects, overseen by a series Editor in Chief. We currently have around 40 reports in print and more in production.
  • We are also a publisher of medical physics and clinical engineering reference books.
  • Scope is our quarterly magazine for members.
  • We deliver professional advice, guidance and best practice in the form of Policy Statements also provide free publications for use by professionals, patients and the public.

Our library at Fairmount House in York holds copies of many journals, books and Institute papers which may be of interest to members.  See the guide to IPEM library holdings. For more information, or for access to any of these items, please contact Marie Goodall or telephone 01904 550512.
